Ballyhara Irish Wolfhounds

I had been captivated with Wolfhounds since 1984 when I acquired my first. My relationship with the breed has been more than my adult life, and so we have grown together. My hounds have taught me precious lessons over all these years, including my son who learned to walk while holding onto these magnificent creatures. These hounds have illustrated grace, patience, and forgiveness along with stoicism, all of which are rare, valuable traits. I have never been without several wolfhounds in my home as they are treasured companions, so much more than just “show” dogs. Our lives and fate are intertwined.

I have been an AKC Judge since 2007 and am approved for nearly the entire Hound Group. I am a member of numerous purebred dog clubs to include The Irish Wolfhound Club of America; The Irish Wolfhound Association of New England; The Irish Wolfhound Club (England); The Australian Terrier Club of America; The Scottish Deerhound Club of America; The Hudson River Valley Hound Association: and The Saratoga Kennel Club.

Additionally, I am an ardent Thoroughbred Racing enthusiast and am a volunteer for the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation, as well as a Donor Member of the National Museum of Racing, and are season clubhouse ticket holders at The Saratoga Race Course.
